What is “Ankle Compliance”?

Ankle Compliance describes the movement of the rim and its ability to twist locally around the spoke nipple, similar to the way an ankle moves. This allows the energy from impacts to be absorbed into the rocking motion created by Ankle Compliance, meaning less vibration gets through the bike to the rider, reducing rider fatigue, offering more control, and reducing susceptibility to pinch flats.
